On 1 July 2015, long-awaited Federal Law No. 2 of 2015 concerning Commercial Companies Law came into force, replacing Old Commercial Companies Federal Law No. 8 of 1984.
As per the new law, all Companies are required to amend their existing Memorandum and Articles of Association to comply with the new law that raises level of corporate governance, offers more protection to shareholders and provides new governing rules for all type of Companies.
